Grouped Messages and collaboration posts

Hello I am here with two feature requests.

First one

Grouped PM’s

What this is:

Grouped PM’s are where the forum automatically groups each user’s Personal messages to make them easier to find.

E.X.

One group may be

Flags:

This group would contain all messages related to flags such as, your post is removed or hidden due to community flags etc.

Another group might be.

Group Messages.

When groups are made, the creator might allow people to message the group members like the moderator group so this grouping would take all messages you’ve sent or are apart of that were sent through the group messaging options.

Next grouping

Personal Messages.

Messages you receive or send using the “blue” message button on peoples profile cards all messages sent like that will be group in the Personal messages grouping.

Lastly

Warning:

When a staff member sends a Personal Message to a user they can select make this a warning so this group sets all your messages into this group other messgaes like silences may also be seen here.

Purpose:

The purpose of this is to find a particular message easier without having to scroll through many many messages because their grouped so you go to that group then scroll through there or we can even add in each group a little :magnifying_glass_tilted_right: search PMs button to search the messages in that group:

Now for my second idea:

Collaborate on post creations:

What this is

What this feature could do is allow user’s to ‘invite’ other users to work on a draft of a post meaning they all have it in the my drafts page on their end and when someone edits it it updates for each person then when one of the authors press publish it will show up on the forum not in anyone’s drafts anymore and by the area where the author’s PFP would show it would show smaller versions of each collaborators PFP and on the bottom of the first post it says “This post was created and worked on by users names with @

Purpose

This could be helpful in times where you and a user want to make a post together maybe a guide or explaining something cool that you guys did or even a multi-person post but you don’t want to post it yet cause its not finished then make it a wiki but it doesn’t happen enough to have a private category for unfinished posts to go for you guys to write it.

Sure you could just make a google docs but if your two users who don’t know each other and don’t wish to share emails this would be a benefit.

Well there you have it my duo-suggestions I thought about on saturday while wondering how to improve the messages system :slight_smile:

@NateDhaliwal great the setting is what i wantedd but it only works with one category i need for multiple like guides and ideas and chill corner?

I’m not sure I understand you. Why not simply add those categories here?

If you want them to be only accessible to certain groups, then you cold configure that under the Security tab of the category settings.

I see yes but wouldn’t they only do it in the ceatgory that was selected?

I don’t understand. You could also add all categories if you really wanted to, but your use case seems more specialized.
