Hide user profile and from user page & user search

Hi

Is it possible to for users to hide their Discourse profile and hide themselves from the user page & user search?

Secondly is it possible to give users read-only access?

Finally can these setting be set via the API?

As some background:
We have a closed Forum setup, authenticated via SSO to a separate systems where users already have profiles and the ability to hide their profiles from other users. I’m thinking if a user set their profile as private in the other system, we would hide their discourse profile, and hide them from the user page and search, and restrict them to read-only access.

Not currently possible, no.

This is possible now, though I am not sure it removes the user from search – check your user preferences to hide your presence and user page.

Der Benutzername (oder der vollständige Name) des Benutzers wird nicht aus der Autovervollständigung für Benutzernamen in der erweiterten Suche entfernt, was ich als Sicherheitsproblem betrachte.

Hallo Pete,

Du könntest einige Benutzer mit Lesezugriff einrichten.

Du kannst dies, soweit ich weiß, auf zwei Arten umsetzen:

Über das Vertrauensniveau oder durch Nutzung von Gruppen.

In den Kategorieeinstellungen unter „Sicherheit“ stellst du entweder das Vertrauensniveau 0 ein oder wählst die gewünschte Gruppe (nur lesen).

Beispiel:
Vertrauensniveau 0: Anzeigen
readonlyGro: Anzeigen
Readnwrite Grp: Anzeigen/Antworten/Erstellen
