How could I go about making it so that topics that are within a sub-category don’t show up in the main category? I think this looks messy and kinda defeats the purpose of having sub-categories when they still show up in the top level category.

Yeah, this is actually rather weird and messy.
I noticed that on this very board… the plugin section properly separates the subforums… and it has a lot of subforums…
The dev subforum, however, mixes the two.
So obviously there is some code that is capable of making a decision on that somewhere.

Ja, ich habe mich auch damit beschäftigt, standardmäßig „keine" zu verwenden.
Ich habe dies gefunden, aber die Lösung erschien den Beitragenden recht umständlich und funktionierte nicht überall. Könntest du bitte hervorheben, ob es eine direktere Lösung gibt?
