How do I make it so only specific subscriber groups can upload?

I have 2 groups that people get added to when they subscribe. I have restrict uploads component but that only works for Trust level.

How do I get the specific Categories tied to the group to only allow uploading on them?

You’ll have to modify the current theme component to allow for groups. It shouldn’t be too hard because trust levels are essentially groups, so most of the work is already there.

There is a theme component Restrict uploads which blocks uploads for lower trust levels. Maybe you can extend that to be group-based instead of trust level based.

If you can’t customize it yourself, you may need to find someone in Marketplace who can do it for you.
