Troublesome members have a tendency to register multiple accounts, for backup, creating spam, boosting their own account, coming back after a ban etc.
How do you identify duplicate or likely duplicate accounts proactively on discourse and handle that? Just IP lookup is not reliable.

We rely solely on the sockpuppet setting on Meta, which uses IP. If that’s not working for you, there is this experimental option:
