What you want is a webhook, not an image request.

This should work and would be a great place for the tracking code. Ideally this would be done via Javascript in the adwords plugin for you, but this is a nice workaround.

i have my pixel code setup in body, not sure if that’s good or bad, but it’s been working for three years. You can install the pixel checker for chrome to validate it. To track signups only might be more involved.

It is because Google Adwords and Facebook Ads only allow us to place image pixels and don’t allow server-to-server communication.
