I can see the stock parent categories as admin and could not figure out how to add more parent categories to my website.

I got it.
I did that and when I do so, it shows box called “category Name” and then asks us to select from a dropdown in parent category. Went ahead and made the new category and selected uncategorised in dropdown. it formed a “new” parent category
Try leaving the parent category setting blank.
새 카테고리를 생성할 때, 상위 카테고리(Parent Category)를 기본값인 (no category)로 두세요. 이렇게 하면 새로운 최상위 상위 카테고리가 생성됩니다.
위 사용자의 경우처럼 이를 Uncategorized(분류되지 않음)로 변경하면, Uncategorized 상위 카테고리 안에 **하위 카테고리(subcategory)**가 생성됩니다.
보안 설정에는 새 카테고리에 대한 접근을 위해 그룹을 입력해야 하며, 기본값은 everyone입니다. 누가 접근할 수 있을지(보기, 답변, 생성(카테고리 내 새 주제)) 설정을 변경할 수 있습니다.
실수로 새 카테고리를 everyone 그룹이 보기, 답변, 생성 권한이 없는 상위 카테고리의 하위 카테고리로 만들어 버렸다면, 해당 카테고리의 설정으로 돌아가 상위 카테고리를 (no category)로 변경하고 그룹 설정을 확인하여 이를 수정할 수 있습니다. "everyone"도 하나의 그룹으로 간주됩니다. 원하는 권한이 있는지 확인하세요.
