This guide explains how to create groups in your Discourse community.
Required user level: Administrator
Groups in Discourse allow you to organize users and manage permissions. This guide will walk you through the process of creating a new group on your Discourse site.
Access the groups page
There are two ways to access the groups page:

Find the “Groups” link in the left sidebar. The link is always visible when in an admin area, otherwise it will be under the “More” section.

Add
/gto the end of your site’s URL (e.g.,your-site.com/g)
Create a new group
Once you’re on the groups page, look for the 
New Group button in the top-right corner of the screen. Click the button to open the group creation page.
Configure your group
On the group creation page, you’ll see various options to set up your group:
- Group name
- Full name
- About
- Visibility settings
- Membership settings
- Mentioning settings
- And more
Fill in the required fields and adjust the settings according to your needs.
Create your group
After configuring your group, click the Create button.
