I was lazy and I wrote in Finnish, because we have AI translations. For some reasons it didn’t translate very first sentence — right translation would be something like what a task it was.
But is there something I could or should do to fix that? The first panic reaction was to delete that untranslated sentence from original, but translations didn’t follow edit (English anyway, others I didn’t check).
I was expexting that AI will translate similar way every languages.
But I just checked and I might should wait a bit longer. Now that untranslated and then removed sentence has disappeared from (English) translations too.
Yes, it takes a moment for changes to be reflected in the translations. This is to prevent translations from being updated too often. However, users will then see a note indicating that the translation may be out of date.
I wouldn’t be sure about that. A recent example that comes to my mind were the translations of the boards tag here on Meta. You can see that in most languages the translation of the tag is also part of the translation of the description of the tag - and then there is German where the description uses “Boards” and the tag seems to be about wood
