Hello,I hope you’re doing well! I would like to know if there is a component or setting available that allows users to hide themselves from appearing on the /u page (user directory). I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on how to achieve this.

I have resolved the issue by disabling the user directory feature and using the leaderboard as a replacement. The leaderboard allows me to hide groups.

That doesn’t hide people from this page – I checked before posting. [The image shows a data table displaying user metrics for a week, including replies, received hearts, given hearts, topics, views, reads, and visits, across various user names. (Captioned by AI)]

Not sure then. Think this might be part of Don:s feature request)bug topic. [imagem] Hide presence: there are still a few places where it doesn't work Feature Hello wave I’ve found some places where I think it should hide online presence too. Chat presence, when you write a message it show on the bottom even if you hide your presence. I think on user page summary, in statistics the Seen section should also be hidden for users if hide presence active. It would also be good if it works like the 2 point with the “Last Seen” User Card theme component. Thanks slight_smile

That topic is about hiding that you are currently online. I think the relevant topic in this case is this feature request: [imagem] Hiding your user profile doesn't hide your stats in the user directory Feature This topic has been closed a bit too early imho, so here is another one. Mods might merge the threads or something… In our Discourse-based community the discussion about user privacy came up as well, because all the fine-grained details about a users’s behaviour on the site can be checked out in the site’s users overview. This is unexpected for users, who have ticked the proposed “Hide my public profile and presences features” setting. Check it out at this very site: My profile page says, it …

[imagem] Hidden user profiles are not completely hidden, shows with "this user's public profile is hidden" Feature This is 100% as designed and won’t be changing. The goal is to hide the profile (and hide presence features), not hide the user completely.

Sounds like we need a plugin to fix this. As a user should be able to have their profile hidden from the user directory. I agree it should maybe still show in things like topic stats. However they should have an option to not be directly shown in the user directory.

Não tenho certeza então. Acho que isso pode fazer parte do tópico de solicitação de recursos/bug do Don.
