I’m sure it used to be possible to make a post be a dismissible “banner” post which would appear at the top of every page. I can see that now there’s an option for a welcome banner with a search bar. Did that replace the banner post?
Weirdly when I pin and unpin a topic, the menu option remains “Un-pin topic” (though the correct modal does pop up).
Also on the “Feature this topic” the third section beginning “There is no banner topic” does not appear.
Any idea why this doesn’t appear on my forum? Could some plugin or theme component be interfering with it? Thanks.
Working for me on recent build …when you hit the button you should also see small action text at the bottom of the Topic.
Does the category have any group permissions? Since it’s a global banner, you can’t use it on a topic unless it’s public to everyone.
That will be it. It’s in the Staff category.
I’m going to guess that past me moved it to that category, which also meant it stopped being a banner post.
