How to turn off "Latest topic!" on home page

AI-generated summary

Crocodilus_CZ is seeking help to remove a “latest topics” section that appeared on their Discourse site’s homepage. Moin initially suggested the issue might be related to a recent Discourse update (https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/32422), but later clarified that this wasn’t the cause. The problem doesn’t occur in safe mode, as pointed out by [Moin](/t/-/370503/3, /t/-/370503/6). Moin suggests checking recent customizations, such as plugins or themes, as a possible source of the problem. Crocodilus_CZ ultimately found the solution in the settings after confirming it wasn’t a core issue and states they will adjust the settings.

Hi,

I somehow managed to turn on a “latest topics” / “view latest topics” section on my site’s homepage, and I can’t find where to turn it off.

Could I ask for some advice?

Thank you!

Is that heading also visible in safe mode?

To me, it looks like the heading that should be hidden except for screen readers, which was added in
https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/32422

Edit: I was wrong

It doesn’t seem to have helped. I have it set up like this here…

The problem doesn’t appear in safe mode.

Did you add any customizations recently?

As a first step, you can check if the cause is a plugin or theme (component) by disabling only one of them. And then disable them one by one.

Is your forum public?

It looks like we have a winner. I’ll need to adjust the settings."
