How to Unpin this Topic from Banner Area

Hi All,

Can someone confirm if this is the Banner Area? The blue ribbon.

I tried multiple times going into Pin Topic > Clicking Remove Banner button.

But this permanently stays. Im not able to remove or replace with a new topic.

How do I remove it and replace it with a new one?

Just to confirm, going to another topic and attempting to make that the new banner topic also fails? Does this occur in safe mode? Are there any errors in the browser DevTools? Also, what version is your forum currently on? I’m on v2026.3.0-latest.1 and I can’t repro this.

The banner on your screenshot doesn’t look like a banner created by a pinned topic. On those, you usually see a part of the content like this

Maybe yours is added by the global notice site setting? That looks closer to your screenshot. A global notice looks like this on my forum:

I don’t see that in the Safe Mode.

Then the banner is probably added by your theme or a component which is added to your theme, so I’d look there next. Is your forum public? Often, inspecting the element can help to find out what is responsible for showing the banner.

When I go to Inspect element.. I see it the corresponding link and text in “announcement-bar”; Is there a way to update it in GUI?
