I need help to configure LLM DeepSeek R1 0528 - free for Automatic translations with Discourse AI

Hi,

  1. I am not sure if “DeepSeek R1 0528 - free” is really free? I created an account and obtained API key. The URL Models & Pricing | DeepSeek API Docs provide some pricing data but DeepSeek R1 0528 is not here.
  2. I try to set up on the following page https://simpleit.blog/admin/plugins/discourse-ai/ai-llms but when I “Run test” I receive the following message -

Trying to contact the model returned this error: {“error”:{“message”:“No cookie auth credentials found”,“code”:401}}

I have the following settings

It will be nice to have a page with documentation how to set it up.

Thanks

I gave up on DeepSeek and successfully set up OpenAI but I select a post, press on … then a globe, I see a message that translation will be replaced, press OK and I see the message - Post has been sent for translation, but no translations are made. I see on OpenAI that request was served.

Isn’t the globe icon for manual translation? Perhaps you have not toggled the mode to view the localized content?

I don’t see this toggle for some reason. And there is no post date.

Thanks @NateDhaliwal for helping :folded_hands:t2:

@apoiata I am going to recommend that you take time to read Content Localization - Manual and Automatic with Discourse AI.

If you have read it through thoroughly and still have issues, let us know so we can improve the docs.

I did and still need a help

Do you see this button:

Try that, too. If no translations show up, you can look at /logs to see if there are any errors reported from the background job that does the translations.
