Hello everyone,
I am an administrator on a freshly installed self-hosted Discourse forum and I am trying to schedule the publication of a new topic. My version is 3.6.0.beta2-latest.
I followed the guides, but I can’t find the feature. Here’s what I did:
-
I am an administrator (and also in the Level 4 Moderator group).
-
I created a new topic.
-
I clicked on the wrench icon (
) at the bottom of the first post. -
The option “Set Topic Timer” is missing from this menu.
So I went into the admin panel to look for the setting:
-
I went to
Administration > All Settings. -
I searched for
activer les minuteurs de sujet, minuteur, or even in Englishtopic timer. -
All searches returned “No results found”.
After investigation, I continued the diagnosis:
-
I checked
Administration > Pluginsand saw that the “Discourse Automation” plugin was installed but disabled. -
I therefore enabled the “Discourse Automation” plugin.
-
I refreshed the topic page and checked the wrench menu (
) again. The “Set Topic Timer” option is still missing. -
I went back to
Administration > All Settingsand searched again forminuteurandtopic timer. Both still return “No results found”.
I’m stuck. It seems the setting to enable this feature doesn’t exist in my admin panel, even with the Discourse Automation plugin enabled.
A final observation: when I go to Administration > All Settings, I can see all the categories in the left sidebar (Required, Branding, General, Login, Users, Security, etc.), but I do not see a “Topics” category.
Am I missing a step, or has this feature been moved? Or is the absence of the “Topics” settings category the real problem?
Thank you for your help.
