Improving pinned topic excerpts

This is just my opinion, but I’d ignore the site setting. You are going out of your way to provide the excerpt, whereas the site setting is there for the system automating the excerpt.

This does not work for me, or I’m not using it correctly:

I noticed that there was a SiteSetting.post_excerpt_maxlength setting. Which I assume is this:

I was hoping to change the length of a pinned topic/post excerpt. Upon digging into the code, I noticed this:

app/models/post.rb

It appears 220 is being used for a (pinned) topic excerpt.

I was wondering what the SiteSetting.post_excerpt_maxlength setting did, and if the pinned topic excerpt length can be made into a setting?

Discourseチームのほとんどのメンバーは、投稿の時系列を非常に重視していることは知っています（たとえ別のトピックから投稿を移動しても時系列が崩れるとしても）。

1つのトピックで、より短い抜粋が必要です。設定を下げてから削除して再投稿するのが唯一の選択肢だと思いますか？それとも、それも解決しませんか？

これでうまくいきました！投稿の最初の文に使用したところ、意図した効果がありました。（もちろん、上記の]=設定を変更する必要はありませんでした）ありがとうございます！
