Is there a way to make the contents of uploaded PDFs searchable?

I don’t know about the contents of PDF’s, probably requires a custom plugin.

Searching for PDFs and similar files was just asked recently here

Option to search for images (or PDFs or other attachment types)

Is there a feature/addon that I can use to allow users to search directly for attachments? I’m specifically looking to find images at the moment, I envision something like images.google.com that returns a mosaic of images - only internal to the Discourse of course.
