Internal Server Error appears when editing a wiki

AI-generated summary

The discussion revolves around an Internal Server Error that appears when editing a wiki. wisewords initially encountered the issue after slowmode was removed from the wiki post. Despite resolving the slowmode issue, the error persisted, with wisewords theorizing it might be due to images in the wiki.

wisewords was advised by thoka to check the site logs for an error message, which wisewords did by asking a moderator to investigate. However, according to twofoursixeight, nothing showed up in the logs. Jagster attempted to reach out to twofoursixeight for potential insight, given their experience with a similar issue on the Gimkit forum.

It was discovered that marking the post as a wiki results in an Internal Server Error, with no log entries. The only successful edits are reverting the post to a previous version. Jagster noted that moderators have limited tools to address server-level issues, which fall under the admins’ area, making it challenging to resolve the problem.

I went to a wiki post, which had slowmode on (due to off-topic posts), however, slowmode makes the wiki completely unusable when it’s too old.

I’ve contacted a TL4 to remove slow mode, and they’ve gone ahead and turned off slow mode. It resolved the wiki problem.
Once I started editing the wiki, the problem showed up:

The leaders don’t know how this appeared. They theorize that it’s most likely due to the images there.

How did this problem occur? The leaders also can’t edit, for some reason.

Look for an error message in your.site/logs.

I’m not a moderator nor admin in that forum, but I’ll ask a moderator to check the .site/logs.

Hi, sorry for the very late response.
A moderator just replied with me, and I’m quite disappointed with their response.

@twofoursixeight is that yours? If yes, you might have some more fresh ideas. If not… sorry to bother.

Yeah, I’m the one from the gimkit forum. But when marking it as a wiki, it gives the internal server error, and does not show anything in logs.

Update: the only edits that work are reverting the post to version #

So, moderators have close to zero tools to fix server level issues (theirs job is watch content and discussion). This is part of admins’ area. Then here is very little possibilities to help with that.
