When you scroll to the bottom of a thread, the timeline reply and notification buttons disappear. However, they can still be clicked, which causes some confusing behavior. To reproduce, scroll to the bottom of a topic and then move your mouse around where those buttons are. You’ll see the cursor change to a hand when you are hovering over them. Clicking the invisible reply button opens the reply pane. Clicking the notification button doesn’t appear to do anything.
