I want to add a category in my discourse instance where only invited people can discuss. But I do not want to add people to the group manually but create an “invite link” that can be sent to join the group (similar what one can do in messengers like signal or telegram).

Is this somehow possible in discours?

I believe group owners can generate an invite link that invites users to a group.
You could also check this plugin out, and see if it matches your use case.
