Wurzelseppi is experiencing an issue when trying to create an invite link for a group. The dropdown menu shows all groups, but when they press “create link”, they receive an error message stating that access to invite members is restricted. They suggest that the dropdown should be limited to the groups they are an owner of, to avoid this issue.

Hi All,

just tried to create a invite link for people.
Wanted to invite them directly to my group, but the menu shows all groups in discourse.

When I press “create link”, though, I get this strange error message

The image shows an error message in German stating that access to invite members is restricted, with fields to specify email domains, the maximum number of uses, expiration period, and the ability to add members to groups. (Captioned by AI)

saying: You are not allowed to display the requested ressource :frowning:

Couldn´t be the dropdown just limited to the groups I´m an owner of ?

Thanks and cheers,

Julian
