I was asked to make a new topic for this because the main announcement wasn’t the right place to discuss it.
The iOS 26 bug where the cursor position goes wrong was improved in 26.1 but not completely fixed. I can still replicate it in many ways, on my own Discourse website and on here.

You can still break it by minimising the post edit screen and then maximising it again.
It also can happen when switching apps and coming back. I switched to the Settings app to get a screenshot of my iOS version for a DM on here and when I came back the cursor was misaligned:
I understand this is an Apple problem but they think it’s all fixed so we need to keep pointing it out and pressuring them to try and fix it some more.
It’s incredibly frustrating that after months of this bug it’s only been half-fixed. With the browser being a monopoly and updates tied to slow OS releases, Safari is feeling like the new IE6
