Continuation from this topic Is there any way to prevent the FAILED message through inspect? I am not an admin, nor can I use the mod thingamabobers. Help is appreciated!

I still don’t understand what you are trying to do. Why do you need GitHub, and why do you download the Ruby file? You copy the code that was shared in the other topic: [image] You open the browser console using, for example, F12 (or another way to open the console. A search engine can help you find guides on how to do that in your browser). [image] You paste the code you have copied into the console: [image] You execute the code by pressing Enter.

Did you see the linked post? [imagen]'FAILED' error when trying to un-star the 'Bug Reporter' badge As a temporary workaround, a regular user can un-favorite all badges by running the following JavaScript code in the console: const user_name = require("discourse/models/user").default.current().username; const badges = await require("discourse/models/user-badge").default.findByUsername(user_name); const favorites = new Map(); badges.filter((b)=>b.is_favorite).forEach((b)=>favorites.set(b.badge_id,b)); favorites.forEach((b)=>b.favorite());

I can’t be an admin. Wait, I mean I can’t contact the admin, idk how I got that lol

But you are “a regular user” aren’t you?

Yes, but I can’t contact the admin and I can’t use github

And how does that prevent you from using the workaround for regular users that was quoted above? I guess you use a browser, so you can search how to use its JavaScript console and use the workaround for regular users.

Someone told me, that github only works in fully functional pc’s, and I’m just on a laptop.

@bob_the_tomato The code I quoted can be run by Inspecting the page and running it in the Javascript Console. It is made for regular users to use. AFAIK there is no Github element to the code.

[imagen] bob_the_tomato: github only works in fully functional pc’s Laptop is a fully functional PC (even then when it is a mac, but otherwise Apple has its own policy thru all devices). But why you can’t contact an admin? Are they hided it? Use moderators as relay then.

Hello! Thanks for the help! But mah tiny brain is not braining, I can’t see how to download the code. [image] I’ve tried downloading it to the browser, but I can’t seem what to do now. When I open it, it brings me to textEdit.

Thank you so much! When I went into inspect I saw the console option, and I ran the code! Thanks again :D
