Probleem met automatisch scrollen op Discourse-websites met NVDA en Firefox

Hey,

I am blind and using NVDA 2024.3 on Windows 11 with Firefox 131.0.

My issue is that on all websites using Discourse, the automatic scrolling in the topic view doesn’t work. I can only see 30 topics, and the view doesn’t update with older topics when I reach the end of the table.

This issue does not occur in Chromium-based browsers like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Ensure that you are using the latest version of NVDA, in my case 2024.3.
  • Ensure that Firefox 131.0 x64 is installed.
  • Navigate to any topic view, for example: Topics tagged accessibility.
  • Use NVDA to navigate through the table.

Actual behavior:

I can only see 30 topics. When I focus on the 31st row in the table (i.e., the 30th topic), the page does not scroll down, and I cannot view the 31st topic and beyond. However, in Chrome and Edge, the automatic scrolling works, and I can access topic 31 and beyond.

If you need more information, feel free to ask.

I hope this bug is fixable.

All the best,
Christopher

It’s been a while since you’ve posted this and we’ve made several changes around accessibility and infinite scrolling of topic lists and topics. I’d be interested to know if this has been resolved for you!
