If I reply to a long topic with a few select quotes, it seems like I get a button on each quote to jump to the quoted post. But this button jumps to the top of the post, not the part that is quoted. Is there any way to jump to a particular part or a plugin that adds this?

singpolyma asks if there is a way or plugin to jump directly to the specific quoted text within a post, rather than just the top of the post, when using quote buttons in replies. Mancy34 agrees this would be a useful improvement for navigating long discussions by highlighting the relevant section, but notes they are unsure if any existing plugin supports this feature.
That would be a useful improvement, especially in long discussions where finding the original quote can take time. Jumping directly to the quoted section, with the relevant text highlighted, would make following conversations much easier. I’m not sure if a plugin already supports this, though.
