Hi guys, I noticed that the MathJax formulas going out of the limits of the posts:
It happens only for the mobile mode. Is it possible to hear some suggestions on how to fix it? I guess we need to somehow reduce the size of it so it could break somehow.

This was fixed a while back.

This PR… adds styles that allow equations to be responsive. This has been tested with both MathJax and Katex. MathJax testing includes all the different renderers.
* HTML-CSS
* Common HTML
* Preview HTML
* MathML
* SVG
* Plain Source
This has also been tested with Asciimath on all 6 renders above.
Wide equations will now behave like this on desktop
https://d11a6trkgmumsb.cloudfront.net/original/3X/a/1/a1d8e2785d538069aa7b3051028cc109ed454ebf.mp4
and like this on mobile
https://d11a6trkgmumsb.cloudfront.net/original/3X/0/3/03aa3ca7e2dd43d3ab45d11c4c6864dfc86fc6b5.mp4
The videos above demonstrate the behaviour for all equations regardless of the math provider and the renderer. They will all behave like that.
On mobile, the PR adds a slight fade on either side to indicate that the user can scroll if the equation is wide.
Is your site up to date? Is the plugin up to date on your site? Can share an example the problem you’re running into?

Yes, the site and plugin are up to date. Here is an example of the issue:
In case, you want to know how the ‘Spot Interest Rates’ derive, you can calculate by using bootstrapping from the par curve: Spot rate Yr 1 => \begin{eqnarray} 100 &=& \frac{101.5}{(1+S_1)^1} \nonumber\\ S_1 &=& {1.5\%}...

Could you maybe share a screenshot, as what I see is:
Edit: several refreshes later:
Which looks right, no?

If you’re referring to that last equation, it’s wider than most mobile viewports and so it can be scrolled horizontally like so
Are you experiencing something different?
לייק 1
I am not seeing the scrolling option on a mobile device. When I use a mobile view in my desktop browser I do see the scroll. Here is a screenshot from my phone.

This should fix it

This commit ensures that wide equations can be scrolled on Safari. It previously… failed because Safari doesn't not support the two value overflow shorthand.
Thanks for reporting the issue @csandstedt
