Large poll bug - users cannot amend votes on open polls

A bug has been observed on https://community.drownedinsound.com where a weekly poll of new music releases (which can have 50-100 items in the poll and no limit to how any can be chosen) is run allowing users to vote for any releases they enjoyed, and these polls are not closed, meaning users could go back and amend their votes later, e.g. if they had now listened to another album released that week and enjoyed it.

In the past couple of months, it has been observed both on mobile and desktop browser that clicking the.

For example, voting in this poll, opened last Thursday, with a new user, after voting I see the results, with a [< Vote] button allowing me to return to the vote:

Clicking the button however just kicks me to the very bottom of the browser screen, and scrolling up I still have the same view of the results and the same button. This occurs in any browser I have tested.

This problem doesn’t seem to occur on small polls - appears to be limited to polls with high number of options (which affects a popular weekly poll on the site afected). There is more discussion here.
