Is there a way to limit the reactions available depending on Group/TL? e.g. you get only the heart unless you are in the XYZ group in which case you can also make a ThumbsUp reaction.

I’m afraid that at the moment, you can’t restrict reactions to a group. Feel free to create a Feature request though

I believe this can possibly be accomplished to some extent using the CSS Classes for Current User's Groups theme component and some css conditionals, probably in an accompanying theme component.

Hi Lilly. Thanks for your response. I think this would be helpful for some members who have been attacking other users by spamming their posts with negative emojis.
I’m still hoping for an extension which allows heart emoji by default and then opens up more reactions depending on group/TL.
Was this the original impulse behind your making this feature request last year? Were you able to get this issue under control on your site in the meantime?
It seems to me that if one or more members are making others feel unsafe through bad behavior in a community then it is up to the moderators to use moderator tools to bring them into line. Here on meta we typically start with a personal message to remind the member who is breaking the rules about the community guidelines. If the behavior continues then we give them a warning that they will be silenced or banned. And then finally if it doesn’t stop they can be silenced for a period or permanently, depending on the situation.
