Hi,

I logged out of my admin account in order to check what the site looked like as a guest and when I tried to log back in it said that an activation email was sent to my inbox. I looked in my inbox and there was nothing there. I tried this three times with no prevail.

I also tried login with link, forgot password and /u/admin-login but no email are arriving to my admin inbox.

There might be something wrong with my admin email because Backups were not sent to my email like a week ago so I checked and it turned out that when I setup the forum I used two different emails. One email during the server setup and one email as the admin email.

In order to fix that problem I changed my email manually in the server so both the admin email and the server email were the same one and the emails (backups) started working again.

However the problem seems to not be fixed because I now cant login without the site requiring an activation email (maybe because I changed the email?) and the forgotten password, /u/admin-login and invite link does not work.

If I remember correctly it said something regarding SMTP in /sidekiq/retries but I can not access this page anymore because I am not logged in to my admin account.

I also tried to login through mobile but it did not work.

I can not access my admin account because of the emails are not sending and it requires an activation of my admin account.

I can login to a normal account I created a few weeks ago, but that account have no access to the admin.

Would https://your-forum/u/admin-login work?

No /u/admin-login does not work. No email is being delievered.

זה בסדר, אני מעריך כל עזרה. אני לא יכול לעבוד על הפורום שלי בכלל בגלל ההגבלה הזו ואני רגיל לעבוד עליו כל יום. מצב בטוח גם לא עובד כי כדי להשתמש במצב בטוח אתה צריך להיות מחובר כמנהל מערכת.

Maybe it can help if you need to activate the account from the console:

Or perhaps this:

./launcher enter app
rake admin:create

Because when used email that is already in use for an admin it will ask if wanted to give new password.

Hopefully I don’t hallucinate this time :face_with_peeking_eye:

Are you sure you are in the right folder? The one with app.yml in it?

Yippie rails c worked to activate my admin account.

Now what is remaining is to find out why the emails are not sending, this is what I recieve at Sidekiq/retries:

I figured but usually it pops up a dialog box the tells you what the error is

Oh it says the very same thing about the SMTP:

535 Incorrect authentication data
