Building out a community using Discourse and want to have a marketplace section where users can post things for sale. This can use just a regular category, and they can complete the transaction via PM, but I am looking for options for a feedback/rep system, where buyers can leave feedback for the seller, and the seller can leave feedback for the buyer.

Wondering what others have done or used. Is there a plugin that would accomplish this? I have seen some Discourse communities with features like this, but cannot seem to figure out what they are using for it.

There’s a somewhat related topic: How to properly set up a pinned "user reviews" for my trading category?

I went the most simple way. A pinned topic where users post their review.

I also added a placeholder form so users can quickly find mentions in the topic, to quickly get a given user’s feedbacks.

I wish the topic couldn’t be unpinned or have any other option to have it at the top of category, but I haven’t explored much yet.

Someone sent me these 2 sites built on Discourse: https://www.husld.com/ and https://swapd.co/ - looks like they sell services. But they have a feedback system exactly what I would want. This is for physical items like sports cards and collectibles. But the same feedback system would be perfect. Not sure if there is a way to look at what plugins a site is using or not.

Not sure if there is a way to look at what plugins a site is using or not.

They are not hosted by us so no way to know for sure. It doesn’t look like one I’ve ever seen, so most likely something they’ve custom built.

Not that I know. Did a quick search and this is the main thing that comes up, but that project stalled…

The $1,000 bounty for this plugin still stands. Not sure I’m qualified to create a formal spec. The main points are: Should be visible in each user’s Profile Card. Should (if possible) also be visible next to the user’s name when they post. Should also allow “demerits,” in case someone is behaving badly. Swapd is using a custom made, closed source, feedback plugin. The User feedback plugin is a similar, open source, variant.
