Meta splash screen: no indication of actual loading

The current Meta logo, which has just the white D with no dots/spinner, gives no indication that the page is loading. If the page was hung, I wouldn’t know. If the page was loading, but just slow, one might think it’s hung.

Could there be some indication of loading, like a spinner or something similar?

there’s an animation there but it may be too subtle, I can adjust it to be more obvious soon

but for what it’s worth the dots or any image on that screen aren’t aware of loading progress, they’re just looping CSS animations that will continue no matter what’s happening in the background

True, but it’s also an indication that something is happening.
