We’ve built two new drag-and-drop behaviors to make it easier to build and organize custom sidebar sections. With these changes, you can now drag links into the sidebar to add to existing sections or create new sections, and drag links within sections to reorder them in your sidebar.
Note: The Categories and Tags section of your sidebar are not custom sections, so you can’t add to or rearrange the links in these areas.
Adding links to your sidebar
You can now drag any link — from a topic, another tab, etc. — directly into any custom section in your sidebar. This will trigger the Edit custom section modal so that you can modify the link name, icon, and position, if desired.
If you want to create a new section for this link, drag it to the bottom of the custom sidebar and drop it in the indicated area. This will trigger the Add custom section modal so you can name your new section and optionally modify the link icon and name.
Rearranging links in your sidebar
To rearrange your custom sections, drag the link into the desired position. The item can be moved within the section or between sections, and rearranging happens immediately.
If you want to move the link into a new section, drop it into the indicated area, and the Add custom section modal will be triggered.
