New members get redirected to the /top?period=weekly page

We have links to the community in our dashboard, but it seems that new members are being redirected to /top?period=weekly instead of the homepage.

Is there a way to disable this auto-redirect?

If you look at the top menu site setting is ‘latest’ at the top? AFAIK the first item will turn into the home page.
