We’re introducing a new reactions popup in chat to make it easy to see all users who have reacted to a chat message.
When hovering a reaction on desktop you will see a list of users for that specific reaction:
When there are multiple different reactions for a post — a menu appears to filter by type:
On mobile you can see the reaction user list by long pressing the reaction.
How to enable the new chat reactions popup
For now, this is considered an experimental change! We’re welcoming your feedback, which will help us make improvements and roll this out further.
If you have enabled the Chat plugin — you can turn on this feature by heading to the Upcoming changes page in your admin area (/admin/config/upcoming-changes) and find the Enable new chat reactions popup item. Update the Enabled for… field to opt your site in to this new design:
