These 2 users are really new, but didn’t do anything…that much in the forums. Is this just the user of the month problem not updating that much for that forum or is it here?

That is how the badge works, it selects 2 users that contributed the most in the forum, based on a score

But why does it pick them when they did nothing? Is this a bug on the system?

There were two people who did a lot more than the people who were picked though. They posted one or two community made guides and helped out a lot.

here’s another topic that explains the badge more:
You’d have to ensure that no other new user registered in the same month has more activity to be sure there’s potentially an issue with the badge.
