I did all the above mentioned steps but the main issue remains the same. In admin Settings, I turned off the discourse ID but now when user clicks on ‘signup‘ no field is shown on the page.

Hmm… do you have the allow new registrations setting enabled?

I set my instance up and I guess made a mistake in the email setup but have corrected it in the app.yml and ran a rebuild but I can’t even log in with the admin account, it directs to Discourse ID. Can I disable Discourse ID in app.yml or using rake or rails c console?

Try going to /u/admin-login if you have an Admin username/email and password set up. Via the rails console, IIRC it’s: SiteSetting.enable_discourse_id = false
