No option to edit a category tile

Hi hi!

For some reason, only one tile won’t let me add a category description, and I’m looking for a workaround. See below for the screenshot—I would like to make this one look like the others, because now it just looks like we forgot to add info on the “Ask the Community” category:

If you can find the About the Ask the Community topic, that’s where the content comes from.

Update: somehow your category is missing the About the... topic:

Unless it’s unlisted? But that doesn’t explain why the description field isn’t available in the settings.

If you go to /c/<id>/show.json, you can use the topic_url key to get the about topic.

Example:

Oh wow, somehow the topic_url is null for that category.

Perhaps it can be updated via API?

Not sure. But you can probably do this via the Rails console. You’d probably need to create a topic for this. Might have to tweak this, but try this:

c = Category.find(1)
c.topic_slug = "your_topic_slug_here"
c.save!

EDIT:
Moin informed me this was the #uncategorized category renamed for this. Perhaps it would be better to simply create a new category and move topics over (thanks Moin).
