Onebox tweets are much less awesome on our forum than this one.
Specifically, links to a reply will show the original tweet instead, and also lack profile pictures.
We’re up to date on v1.4.0.beta8 +35.

Do you have the Twitter API key credentials entered in site settings? If you don’t the one boxing will be a bit weird.
Yeah … I just confirmed and you are missing both:
“twitter consumer key” and “twitter consumer secret” without this our use of twitter api is heavily restricted.
Note, this is on @techAPJ’s list, our default handling sans key should be better
It did seem odd that the styling of publicly available data needed keys.
Twitter does not allow any api access unless you use an api key.

Now the api version and no-api version of Twitter onebox is almost identical!
