What would you like done?

community.bettercentury.org is a forum focussed on helping people live sustainably. We would like to partner with NGOs (Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth etc).
We would like to be able to generate a sign-up link that we can pass to potential partners so that they can share this with their members. For example:

community.bettercentury.org/signup/greenpeace

When a user signs up with this link, we need them to be automatically allocated to a “Greenpeace” group. They should not be able to leave this group. In this way, we will be able to track how many sign-ups come from each NGO.

When do you need it done?

As soon as possible.

What is your budget, in $ USD that you can offer for this task?

I really have no idea of how big this task is I’m afraid. We have a budget though. Happy to discuss all reasonable estimates.

Wouldn’t it be better to use a custom user field for this? Include it upon signup. The only customization you would need is to hide it, and to prefill it with information from the URL.
