We have a website on Kajabi with around 700 members accessing courses and premium content, but the community function is poor. We’ve been manually using a private Facebook group as a workaround.
We’d like to set up a Discourse forum with custom branding. Our audience is used to the simplicity of Facebook, so we want a cleaner, less cluttered interface than Discourse’s default — without losing flexibility on the backend. We’re host agnostic and happy to hear pros and cons of self-managed vs. managed hosting.
We’d also like existing members migrated to the new forum, our current Disqus comments replaced with Discourse, and new members automatically given access to private tiers based on their Kajabi membership level.
No hard deadline, but we’d like to begin work within the next couple of weeks and would expect the developer to set up reasonable milestones based on this brief.
No fixed budget — we’re not entirely sure what’s required or how best to integrate Kajabi and Discourse, and we’d rather scope it properly. Additional features TBD, and a more detailed brief will be provided to those interested in discussing further.
