投票功能仍然非常不稳定

##Contribute > Bug #1: 尝试将投票添加到主题中。
主题名称为 tetstetset。我点击编辑,在标题中添加 Poll: 和一个列表。结果如下:

##Contribute > Bug #2:

##Contribute > Bug #5: 另一个出现异常的主题结果。
我不知道为什么会这样。

Thanks for sharing these. I ran into a few of these problems a few evenings back but didn’t keep good enough notes to report. :+1:

@zogstrip is working on beefing up polls now, so hopefully he can address these issues while he’s at it

I hope we’ll have “add poll” button at some point. I already tired to explain people how to create polls although there’s a topic with explaination on our forum. In my opinion, if people asking a lot about something, it means this feature UX is not intuitively clear and it should be reconsidered in more user-friendly way. Computers should serve humans, you know, not humans to computers. And by making “one button feature” into “computer science feature” we make users to serve computers by MAKING them to learn unnecessary stuff. That’s just not right…

1 in about 1000 topics are polls we are quite against adding a button to the main UI for this that you would see all the time. I really don’t know where such a button could live.

Why not on the toolbar?

That little gear would only appear when creating a new topic or editing the first post and could show a modal window with all the rarely used, advanced features provided by plugins…

Well, there is enough room in the editor’s toolbar. Even on very low resolutions…

We could even hide it unless a new topic is created.

I guess that depends on the forum. I know a small community where roughly every second post contains a poll…
Do you have any statistics on how often the buttons for Heading or Horizontal Rule are used? As with polls it may depend on the type of community, but I haven’t seen any of them used on meta that often. And who actually uses the Quote whole post button? Does this mean we should remove some/all of those buttons just because not everyone is using them?

Edit: Ah, @elberet you beat me to it.

Behold the power of my Paint-fu! :sunglasses:

Closing this, was all known, polls were a community PR with minimal support, polls are being rewritten anyway.
