With the rollout of iOS / iPadOS 26 yesterday, we’ve encountered issues with the display and usability of the Discourse text editor.
In some cases, the text editor is pushed past the top of the screen. Sometimes the cursor is just in the wrong place. These issues occur in our forum (tff-forum.de) as well as here in the Discourse meta forum.
According to our tests, the behavior changes depending on the configurable size of the editor window. If you set the editor to a very small size and then click in the text field, the error often occurs when the iOS keyboard appears. If the editor window is set to a large size before clicking into the text field, the editor works as expected.
