I am desperately trying to install a Discourse forum on my server. Everything goes well until the end, but I never receive the confirmation email to activate my administrator account.
I am hosted by Hostinger. I correctly entered my SMTP credentials during installation, but no email reaches me, neither in the inbox nor in spam.
Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Thank you for your feedback. The only thing I haven’t done regarding the procedure is the password; it contains special characters, and Hostinger refuses to assign me a code without special characters. However, I closed it with quotation marks.
My question is whether this step can be skipped and, if so, what the consequence is.
You can create an admin account from the console (Create an admin account from the console). But for other users to sign up, you will need a working email configuration.
You are right, yet I tried two different ports. I don’t understand what’s blocking it. The only thing that could be a problem is the password. Could you tell me if there are any compatibility issues between Hostinger and Discourse? I’ve been struggling with emails for three days.
