Issue with apostrophe in rich text

Hello, I’ve been having a small issue for a while now. In the rich text editor, when I try to type “l’eau”, it writes “l>eau”. I have to delete the “>” for it to turn into an apostrophe. It’s very strange, but this doesn’t happen in the Markdown editor. Is there a setting for this? For your information, I’m using an AZERTY keyboard in French.

This is an eager typographer replacement; it happens here too, but the default markdown_typographer_quotation_marks are different on a non-French instance. You can disable enable_markdown_typographer or set the quotation marks site setting to a different default. That said, I feel there are some quick wins we can make to improve this experience. We’ll look into those. The site settings are immediate alternatives.
