It’s been like this for a while now; I don’t remember when it started. At first, I thought I might have missed the button, then I thought clicking the icon might not work, and I accidentally clicked the icon because that changed its color. But I paid more attention to this, and still, I need 2 taps for quoting.
This is my Galaxy Tab S9 FE with Firefox 155.0. The problem is that when I logged in today, quoting worked fine. But now it doesn’t. Reloading sometimes fixes this, but usually, it does not. So it’s probably unrelated.
Please let me know if I can help tracking this down
This is my experience as well - I haven’t been able to pinpoint what makes it happen.
Coincidentally it happened while reading this topic, so I recorded my screen. Thanks for the reaction tip - previously I’d been closing and restarting the PWA.
I think that workaround was for a different problem. If I remember correctly, you reported in The popup menu for quoting text is unresponsive on Android that you weren’t able to select text at all. I can select text fine; my problem is that I need to click the button twice to do something with my selection. So I am quite sure these are separate issues.
But yes, I remember that topic and tried the reaction menu. It didn’t help. Reloading the site usually doesn’t help either, but sometimes it works on the first click. So there must be something.
Is there an aspect I missed that made you think this is the same problem?
Maybe I found it. I still have no clue what fixes it, so trying a few times to check if the repro in consistent is difficult. But quoting did no longer work on first tap after I changed my interface language with the header dropdown.
