Quoting includes hidden wraps

We use wraps to manage which content is visible in our emails vs in the community. Particularly we hide the “meat” of an announcement from the email to help drive people to the community itself.

But if I quote the post or the elements before & after my hidden wrap, it includes the hidden content:

Typically, this email-only wrap just contains a CTA to push people to the community itself, but it’s still awkward that something that isn’t visible in the community itself is being added to the quote.

That’s just how CSS works. If you want the text not to be there, you’ll need to use a plugin to remove it from the cooked post.
