I am selecting the text I want to quote, then I click on the quote link in the mini toolbar that appears. The quote code appears correctly in the answer, then no quote is shown when the answer is published.

Yes, that is a clever thought! If you select the entire last post in your reply it will be removed. I am doing that right now. edit: in this case it’s easy to tell in the revision history what is happening. [Screenshot 2025-04-26 at 10.30.36 AM]
