I love messing with users on my discourse instance, but when using the new group chats feature, I realized I couldn’t add over 100 users. After checking site settings, I realized this couldn’t go higher. I would enjoy it if this was raised to anywhere from 300 to 1000, so I can mess with my community some more

For that amount of users, I wonder why you don’t want to use a channel? Curious to hear about your reasoning.

And looking at your reasons for wanting to increase it, it seems it’s also a good way to prevent admins from doing a similar thing. 
The 100 limit is fairly arbitrary, though I think there is some scope to maybe amend this in the future. However, I’ll close this #feature request off to give the space to someone who can come up with, let’s say, ‘more legitimate’ reasons…
