We just started using the auto-translate / locale switcher (AI) feature, and it works well.

…However, the related topics seem to show up in English even when switching languages. Is the quoted setting what we need to change? (By default, our forum is in English.)

hmm, it’s working on my site in multiple languages. is your Discourse up to date? please share your translation settings. are you using a test user with different language and locales?

For non-English sites (Discourse-hosted or self-hosted with own model):
Set ai embeddings model to multilingual-e5-large

I checked https://discuss.flynumber.com and I can see translated related topics there. Maybe you had toggled off translations with the button on the timeline?

Looks good now @Lilly / @Moin, thanks.

Not sure why, when I tried it, it showed English-related topics on non-English topics, perhaps a cache or something else.

Either way, it’s good now, and I’m very impressed with the locale/AI translation logic built for Discourse.
