I’m aware this is an absolute edge case, but I thought I’d document it.
- I send a PM to an email address that is not registered on my Discourse
- The recipient signs up, but doesn’t immediately verify their email address
- Recipient replies to initial PM by email
- Email bounces, due to unverified address
(At this point they email me directly and inform me of the bounce. They say their account is awaiting approval. However, it’s not in the review queue and the email address is still unverified. Not sure if they actually tried to verify it, but after my request to do so, everything is fine and I can review the account.)
